If anyone has any suggests, please let me know. I have replaced all 4 O2 sensors, the fuel filter and the MAF sensor. I have checked all the plugs, wires, coils, em to all be good. I have an intake and a straight pipe exhaust system. I believe it is my MAF sensor, but I am not sure. Now, if I use starting fluid it cranks right up. Once I crank it that first time, it cranks fine everytime after that. My car does not want to crank during the first crank of the day. Hello I have a 97 Ford T-Bird and you only have a dual or single pod for that car but I would like to have 3 gauges. I have a 96 LX with a 4.6 myself and I am having the same problem. Now, if the car will not crank, I am not sure what this is. If it will crank and doesn't want to stay running or takes you for a thrill ride, reving and dying, then it is the MAF most likely, but it could also be O2 sensors. If the band is broken or melted, replace the. To check a fuse, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. Before you replace or repair any electrical parts, check the appropriate fuses or circuit breakers. If it is running rough, it is the fuel filter or O2 sensors. If electrical parts in your vehicle are not working, the system may have been overloaded and blown a fuse or tripped a circuit breaker. Third is the O2 sensors, takes a little time and is expensive. First the cheap and easy fix, fuel filter. If the car starts but will not stay running or is running rough, there is a few possible problems. The added power is nice too.Between the post and the replies there is a couple different problems.

Soo glad I did it though! The newer intake is so much easier to deal with when messing with the EGR system and vacuum lines. I had made numerous tips to the junkyard to get everything I needed and this simple swap became a lot more expensive than first expected. I can't remember for sure but I think I switched to the newer EVR that attaches to the coil pack bracket. I almost forgot about the passenger side coil pack bracket and the DPFE bracket on the back of the passenger side head. You will also need access to a cruise control cable from a 96+ MN-12 but you only need the plastic end that attaches to the throttle body. For the fuel lines you do have the option of keeping the old ones and using fuel rails from a 94 Gran Marquis like I was forced to do because all of the junkyard cars around here are resting on their frames.

Besides the valley hose and the water pump nipple you will also need an EGR tube either from a donor car or buy a new one for a 2003 Explorer like I did. It was almost 2 years ago I swapped the old 94-95 style intake manifold for the 96+ variety with a Typhoon PI intake.
